Within walking distance from The Oaks at Portola Hills, the Rancho Wildlife Foundation (RWF) provides a local gem for kids and parents alike. RWF is a non-profit wildlife rescue located on the hills of Rancho Las Lomas in Silverado Canyon. This animal sanctuary – practically in our community’s backyard – aims to give the best home possible for the animals in their care as well engaging with visitors and inspiring them to become advocates. RWF creates a place for people to connect with wild creatures, make a positive contribution to the environment, and educate on the preservation of nature. They offer various field trips year-round for schools as well as summer camps and girl/boy scouts. Visit the Rancho Wildlife Foundation today and interact with zebras, tigers, and parrots – just to name a few! Click here for more information: Rancho Wildlife Website.
